No matter what type of site you work on, we highly recommend you set a schedule. Even if this is a part time hustle for you – which is how 95% of adult models start – it is still a self-employed job role that requires time and effort. A structured schedule creates a consistent work flow and productivity, whilst making sure you maintain a good work life balance as well as allowing you to carve out time for other responsibilities and for yourself for self-care. The easiest way to make sure you’re setting time aside to work as a model is to create a schedule.

Below, we have given examples of a part-time schedule for each type of site and a few pointers of what type of work you should be doing in that time. You can of course, change these schedules round to suit your current commitments, they are only an example of the type of schedule you can do.

Our Company Director started off as a webcam model on a site called Adultwork. At the time, she was a single mum of three and had a full time job. She categorised her hours into shifts:

AM shift (also known as “breakfast shift” on many sites). 6am – noon.

Afternoon shift. Noon until 6pm.

Evening shift. 6pm until Midnight.

Early hours shift. Midnight until 6am.

As she had other responsibilities, she did not always complete a full-shift but would always set aside a minimum of two hours to do a shift for to get the credits in. As long as she was consistently showing up for those shifts, she could guarantee to increase her income on site.

You will notice that it has a credit aim next to each shift - please note, only Adultwork pay in credits and other sites will pay in dollars or tokens – this is to encourage productivity whilst you’re online and gives you an aim to work towards.

Most of the sites have a content option. If you want to take an hour out of one of your shifts to create and upload content, we would highly recommend it! Content is an tremendous passive earner and works very well on cam sites, for your clients when you aren’t live and they want to catch up with you.

Move your schedule around when you need to. If you’re planning on going full-time, you can combine all the example schedules we have given to create full-time hours and a full-time wage on various sites, or you can stick to one site and slowly increase your hours.

There are options to go live on content sites, but the majority of the work you will be doing won’t be live. Content sites are an excellent option for model’s who don’t have as much time to go live. Perfect if you are already working full-time or have young children.

Some pointers:-

Content sites require marketing, and as we have discussed previously in the course, you don’t have to do as much marketing for webcam sites as the clients are already members. When we say marketing we mean: engaging with clients on site, engaging with other models on site and uploading content. As well as this, you’ll have the social media side of your business to promote your content link. Marketing also includes networking on social media sites to grow your following. You can do this by creating social media content (non-nude), and engaging with others who have similar content to you.

You should batch create content. Whilst two hours may seem like a lot to put towards creating content, you need A LOT of content to be a content based adult model. This is partly to gain client interest in subscribing and to give your subscribers a reason to keep subscribing to your content in the long term (also known as subscribers churn).

You will notice that this schedule is very similar to the content creator schedule – this is no surprise as honestly, they are very similar to each other in terms of what you will be doing. However, porn sites like webcam sites, are used much more over weekends and this is why we’ve said to do your marketing on the weekends, as it will significantly improve the views that you get on your content.
Some pointers:-

The marketing you are expected to do is the same as the marketing for content sites and includes networking and working on your social medias as well as on site itself. One massive benefit of porn is you are paid by view not via subscription. This means once your link in your bio is clicked on a social media site, it counts someway towards your money and there is more of an instant pay-off than trying to get subscribers.

Networking on porn sites themselves are the same as when you network on content sites. You’re leaving comments and likes on other’s content to gain traffic back to your videos and page.

You don’t have to talk to subscribers the way you do on content sites as it is not personalised content. Feel free to answer your emails and messages though, at the least, clients will often give you ideas for content that they’ll like.
